DataStreams will help prepare an intensive and proactive response system through the big data platform for infectious diseases.
On the 3rd of August, DataStreams attended the launch briefing for the "Big Data Platform and Center Construction Project in the Infectious Disease Field" and announced its platform development plan.
The project is a 7 billion won state-run project that the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Intelligence and Social Security Agency (NIA) have teamed up to establish.
The system is intended to combat infectious diseases by converging public and private data.The platform will utilize scientific evidence for quarantine policies, secure medical system stability, and support the development of vaccines and other new drugs.
It will also establish 130 types of convergence of big data in disease, communication, economy, and medical fields to analyze changes in the industrial economy.DataStreams was tasked with building the big data platform system for this project, forming a consortium with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), the Bank of Korea, the National Medical Center, OmniSystem, Selkey, Vinea, and Magis to promote the project.Lee Dong-Hyun, managing director of DataStreams AI Research Group, who was in charge of the project's proposal, said, "DataStreams will be an important cornerstone in becoming an AI company.
"Park Sang-gu, managing director of DataStreams, who is a project manager , said, "Our platform will include a virtuous cycle ecosystem with the ability to create, manage, distribute, utilize, and circulate information back to the platform."
